2degrees launches lowest any-network pre-pay calling rate in New Zealand

2degrees, New Zealand’s newest mobile network company, today continued its mission to bring value to the New Zealand pre-pay mobile consumer with the release of three new voice Talk Packs:

• The Everyone100 Pack offers 100 minutes of calling time to any mobile or landline network in New Zealand for $30 – an effective rate of just 30c per minute making this the lowest, and only, any network pre-pay talk pack in New Zealand.
• The India120 and China120 International Talk Packs provide 120 minutes of talk time to any mobile or landline in those countries for $10 – an effective rate of 8.3c per minute.

The new Talk Packs, combined with the recently released $10 Text Pack and the $6 50MB Data Pack, means that 2degrees pre-pay customers can enjoy even better value on the things they use the most.

According to 2degrees chief marketing officer, Larrie Moore, the new Everyone100 Talk Pack gives 2degrees customers the best pre-pay any network calling rates available in New Zealand.

“With Everyone100, 2degrees is now the market leader with any-network pre-pay rates,” says Larrie.

“Never before has there been this sort of value on pre-pay,” he said.

Everyone100: Call anyone on any network

With the Everyone100 Pack, customers don’t need to worry about who they’re calling or to which network they belong. When they buy 100 minutes, they get just that, keeping mobile use simple—the way it ought to be.

“Customers are hungry for value. They don’t want to have to think about the way they use their phone, or modify their calling behaviour to get a decent deal. People want to be able to pick up their phone and call whoever they want, whenever they want. The new Everyone100 Pack lets them do just that,” said Larrie.
          
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell what network someone belongs to as more and more people are keeping their mobile number when they switch networks. Any-network packages like Everyone100 are therefore becoming more important for customers to provide them certainty around calling costs and prevent bill shock.

Talk Packs for India and China

Recognising the need to add value for international calling in addition to local, 2degrees today also released the first two in a series of international talk packs. The India120 and China120 packs provide great calling rates to two populous countries that many new New Zealanders, students and visitors call on a regular basis.

“We see these two markets as important ones to many New Zealanders, who want to be able to contact friends and family overseas at affordable prices. Instead of having to use complicated calling cards and increased risk of poor call quality, customers can now call home at any time directly from their mobile,” says Larrie.
